Alright, good afternoon everyone.

It’s honestly surreal to see this little company that started in a warehouse in El Segundo now going public with the largest IPO in history.

If somebody had told me this would happen back in the beginning, I would’ve thought they were completely delusional.

Let me be clear: I gave SpaceX less than a 10% chance of ever succeeding. I told people repeatedly we would most likely fail, but we owed it to humanity to at least try.

Without a new entrant pushing space forward aggressively, humanity would never become a true multiplanetary civilization.

Other aerospace firms build fine rockets and hardware, but they were never pursuing the radical technology required to make life exist across multiple worlds—to turn Star Trek, all those thrilling sci-fi futures we grew up reading about, into tangible reality.

That is the core mission of SpaceX: strip the fiction out of science fiction, and build an exciting, hopeful future open to everybody.

Our goal is simple: anyone who wants to go to the Moon, anyone who wants to go to Mars, anywhere across the solar system—and someday maybe beyond—we want to be the ones to take you there.

This isn’t only for a handful of professional astronauts. I mean you, literally you, whoever is watching right now. SpaceX wants to send you to the Moon, send you to Mars, and eventually farther out into the cosmos.

And I am fully confident, with the extraordinary team we’ve built here at SpaceX, we will deliver on that promise for you.

I always remind myself: Earth will always have challenges, always problems we need to fix, and we absolutely must keep working to improve life here.

But we also need grand things that make us excited to wake up each morning, things that make you eager to see what tomorrow brings. That hunger for bigger horizons is what drives all of us at SpaceX.

None of this would exist without every single employee, past and present. You’re the ones who turned impossible odds into this historic moment. This IPO is your victory.

We’re just getting started. Mars is not the finish line—it’s only the first big step. Let’s keep reaching for the stars.
